World Peace & School Love! (2)

It looks like we’re heading to school to start off with. Hm? There’s a cool-looking character standing by the gates.
…Did he just drop down from a tree?
Looks like it. Being able to safely land from a two-meter drop like that is an incredible athletic feat.
Why was he up in a tree in the first place?
<Well, hello there. I suppose it’s finally starting. It’s time for us to fight to be at the top of this school—>
…What exactly is happening here?
According to the synopsis, the school is approaching its annual student council president election, throwing the student body into chaos and splitting it into three factions…
Is that type of plot really necessary for a dating sim…?
Look closely at the background, Liguang. There are cracks in the school building. They’re serious about this election.
I’m certain those cracks are marks left by previous elections. It’s amazing that they included that detail. It shows you how fierce the past conflicts were. It reminds me a bit of Asu High’s elections.
Well, yes, those were intense, but I don’t think they were this cutthroat.
They’re slowly introducing the main cast to us. All the characters are so unique and likeable.
Hm? They’re making me choose something…
<We gotta change this school together!>
<*scoff…* Voting for me would be the wisest decision.>
<I-I can’t allow students like them to take over as president…>
<What a fuss. Whose side are you planning to take?>
(Quite a heavy-handed development… But I understand what’s happening. The game must be asking the player to choose their desired love interest.)
Hm, then I…
Won’t pick anyone.

……
Why not? Don’t you have to choose someone to continue?
I can’t… If I picked a side, I’d just be enabling the conflict.
But this is a dating sim. Isn’t the conflict meant to be a part of the story?
I don’t want to see my little brothers fighting each other. There must be a way to appease everyone. I’ll find it… I’ll make it happen.
(I feel we’ve veered far off-course here.)
(Well, it’s fine as long as he’s enjoying himself… I hope.)

Kamina, I just got back fr— Have you been playing that game this entire time?
Oh, welcome back, Liguang. I actually just finished it.
What happened in the end?
Oh, the heroine stepped up to become the student council president herself and unified the school by bringing the three factions under her control.
What? She was able to control those hooligans?
Wait, no. Was that really the entire point? What happened to the romance aspect?
Now that I think about it, I didn’t end up romancing anyone.
But now all of my precious little brothers are smiling, so I’m more than satisfied with the ending. Toi was right. It was incredibly moving…
(I sincerely doubt he’s viewing it in the same way the younger Shiramitsu did…)
I should thank Toi for showing me such an outstanding story and let him know my thoughts soon.
